Positive Erfahrung: At first, I was quite disappointed with Holmes Place Jelmoli in Zurich. Many machines, treadmills, stairmasters, and steppers were out of order for weeks or even months. There were often been no paper towels/soap (in some containers) in the men’s restroom, and it also lacked a toilet seat for a while. The steam room has a musty, unpleasant smell not really enjoyable and a big loss of quality and money you are paying. Damaged tiles, worn-out walls, and inconsistent cleanliness made the gym feel neglected and not worth its premium price. I even considered canceling my membership but ultimately reached an agreement to stay. Thanks again to Frau Schneider Leidescher. Now, after some months of nearly constant training five days a week, my opinion has improved significantly. The community is fantastic, creating a motivating and nice atmosphere. Most of the equipment is in good condition, and I heared after having chat with the staff that repair delays were due to manufacturers rather than the gym itself (can’t verify it, but I trust the team here). Holmes Place has also made major improvements, the men’s changing rooms, floors, and spa were repainted, broken tiles replaced, and cleanliness has improved. The staff is another highlight. They’re knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help. I’m also excited about the new Holmes Place club opening in 2026 and the one afterwards, which promises great new facilities. Will be pretty cool. However, the high membership price remains a downside. Migros Fitnesspark offers four modern gyms with spa access in Zurich’s city, along with five personal training sessions, for 105 CHF/month, while Holmes Place charges 190 CHF/month for only two clubs and two sessions. Additionally, every member pays a completely different price, which makes it less visible, understandable and justifiable, a steep difference that isn’t fully warranted. Overall, I now really enjoy training here, and the gym has shown real effort in addressing concerns. There’s still room for improvement, but the positives outweigh the negatives. The biggest consideration remains whether the high cost aligns with the value provided. I would like to give 3,5 stars, but this is not possible so I give 3, maybe in the future 4. But I‘m still happy to go there everyday until the new club is opening :)

Negative Erfahrung: Leider wird man von diesem Studio auch mehrere Jahre nach Vertragskündigung dauerhaft mit aggressiver E-Mail Werbung und 1 CHF Sonderangeboten belästigt (trotz unzähliger "Unsubscribe" orders). Habt Ihr das wirklich nötig, wenn Ihr doch angeblich so toll seid?! Selbst meinen SPAM Filter hat das System schon überlistet...

Negative Erfahrung: There are no loop bans for side steps, when I ask where are they I got the answer that I need to bring one from home. We are paying for a top tier gym and we need to bring the bands from home? Really? The toilets and showers always dirty and smelly. I regret doing a two year membership and leaving Indigo.

The facilities are top-notch, always clean, and well-maintained. There’s a great variety of classes, and the wellness area is a huge plus—having access to the sauna and steam room after a workout makes all the difference. The whole team is super professional and welcoming, always ready to help or give advice. A special shoutout to Immad—he’s fantastic! Super knowledgeable, friendly, and really makes a difference in the overall experience. You can tell he genuinely cares about the members and their progress. Overall, I highly recommend Holmes Place if you’re looking for a premium fitness experience with a great atmosphere and a supportive team!

Fantastische Erfahrung: Positive feedback Lorenzo Vittorio I was able to search through trainers and their available times, to find someone who's a great fit for me and my lifestyle and goals. Lorenzo is the real deal! He pushes you in a nice way and Really keeps things moving In the session. He mixes up the workout so it is never old. He crafted a personalized program to meet my fitness goals very fast. He is very knowledgeable in fitness and showed me exactly how to do the exercises. He showed me how to keep track of everything and i am excited to start bettering myself. He also works out with you so that you can watch and correct your form. He gives recommendations on diets and supplements to help you on your fitness journey. I cannot recommend him enough!

Negative Erfahrung: If you want to feel constantly ripped off and get your blood boiled,sign up with them. The amount of unpleasant surprises is endless (literally). Beside all the negative reviews that r true, I add only one ,there are many...they explained to U that you can freeze your membership whenever U want. Well well well, U pay every month for that...the excuse they give is really insulting. I am disgusted to be with this company.

Negative Erfahrung: Quite far from being a “premium fitness club” only the price is premium, 175 bucks for a very regular gym. Few machines, almost always crowded, and too many PTs with their clients, not really letting you use their machines or their space, Some members of staff (not all) very arrogant.

Negative Erfahrung: Too expensive for what it offers. Had a tryout and was seriously thinking of getting a subscription until I was charged with a “discounted” 35CHF fee for that single tryout.

Negative Erfahrung: Oversubscribed, limited machine availability, dirty facilities. They will sell you the dream with all the bells and whistles but then once you're signed up they don't want to hear if you're unhappy. For any frustration you just get told "it's being looked at" or just ignored. It's absolutely not a premium gym and definitely not worth the money. I'm having to pay for a second membership elsewhere.

Positive Erfahrung: Das gym selbst ist gut. Schöner Blick über Zürich. Ausreichend Gewichte und alles vorhanden. 1 Punkt Abzug: Bei der Anmeldung wurde das Angebot zu meinen Ungunsten „angepasst“. Ich habe online ein 7 Tages Paket gebucht, bei dem es heisst, dass es komplett auf eine Anmeldung angerechnet wird. Aktuell gab es eine weitere Offerte. Dem Mitarbeiter (ich sage mal nicht wer es war), war das wohl zu viel Discount und er hat mir nur einen Teil des Online Pakets anerkannt und die Offerte auch „angepasst“. Zum Training selbst: Zürich + das Jahr 2024 … das ist nichts spezifisches für diesen Ort, so ist es halt heutzutage … daher kein Abzug … unbedingt Stosszeiten vermeiden (18uhr), wer das nicht erträgt und old school training machen will… morgens um 6 laufen aber auch ein paar seltsame Gestalten rum … mich eingeschlossen Wer es sich leisten kann: klare Empfehlung!

Negative Erfahrung: Draconian treatment of customers, just want to generate revenue by any means. Admin team gave an attitude. I’ve been a customer for 2 years and they made my cancellation difficult. Would not recommend! On top of that always quite busy and facilities such as changing rooms need refurbishing, given the price you pay for this. They also contacted me threatening so that I remove this review. Please do not join this awful organisation.

Fantastische Erfahrung: Holmes Place Jelmoli in Zürich ist wirklich ausgezeichnet. Alles ist sehr gut – von den professionellen Trainern bis zur Sauberkeit und dem exzellenten Spa-Bereich. Negative Erfahrung: It’s been probably 5 years since i cancelled my membership, they keep cold calling me to renew my membership. I have blocked their number(s), told them to delete my data but they are persistent. Stay away.

Negative Erfahrung: claiming to be a premium fitness club also requires to work on the hygiene standards. Often times the gym is a bit filthy and since years the soap dispensers look like this. Just go the “extra mile” and empty the gross soap and replace it with only one brand of soap. Thank you very much!

Negative Erfahrung: WORST MANAGEMENT EVER. I have been to several gyms in my life and I regret to say this is the worst I've been treated. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. They are quick to deceive you in signing but will never answer your emails/call you back if you want to cancel, despite valid reasons!!!

Positive Erfahrung: What I like about this location is the view, the fact that you get towels and the kind personnel. The air conditioning in the shower and the dress rooms is terrible, the showers have some mold and you will continue sweating in the dress rooms as the whole hot air from the showers and the sauna and steam bath is there too. That is something that could be fixed probably rather quickly with a huge impact.

Negative Erfahrung: To begin, I am appalled by the response to my concerns. While it is acknowledged that there was only one accident in the past ten years, that does not diminish its significance. Every incident should be treated with the utmost seriousness of my friend breaking two ribs. The response, "On the other hand we don't understand how you could train regularly in our club over months after this accident happened, and suddenly it’s a problem and you can't come anymore by immediate effect," is particularly troubling. I have been attempting to address this issue for over 10 months, and such a dismissive reply is unacceptable and the few replies I got the more I felt like you don't care for my safety so I have not visited. I have written you a mail on the 9th on July, I rather you reply to that than my review for the general public. Nevertheless thank you for taking you time to read and reply. My statement still stands. My experience at has been deeply disappointing and distressing. Despite the club's luxurious facilities, the safety and quality of personal services provided are severely lacking for the 160.- monthly fee. A traumatic event has left a lasting impact on me. The most significant incident involved my friend, who broke 2 ribs. This traumatic event has left a lasting impact on me, making it impossible to return to the club without recalling that harrowing experience. While the club claims this was an isolated incident, the handling of the situation and subsequent interactions have been far from satisfactory. Despite adhering to the contract terms, the club has shown no flexibility or empathy in addressing my request for an early termination.The lack of concern for member safety and the poor customer service have made it clear that this is not the quality of service I paid for. I would not recommend to anyone seeking a safe and respectful environment. My experience has been overwhelmingly negative, and I urge potential members to consider my case before committing to this club. If you read the other reviews most state the same issue.

Fantastische Erfahrung: Visited from the hotel Zurich Schweizerhof day pass. Nice big gym with fully equipped facilities. Used the sauna and jacuzzi, both are well kept and with hot temperatures. Jacuzzi has strong jets very relaxing, offered towels so no need to bring towels.

Es gibt bei der Damen Garderobe eine Sauna und ein Dampfbad wer es privat oder zackig benützen möchte, oder im Wellness Bereich gibt es eine Finnische Sauna und ein Kräuterbad mit Whirlpool und feinen Tees. Wasserbetten um sich zu erholen verpackt mit tollem Ambiente und Design!!

Anna sorgt wirklich dafür, dass man sich willkommen und gut betreut fühlt. Eine echte Bereicherung für das Studio! Zusätzlich zu Annas fantastischer Betreuung möchte ich auch das Holmes Place selbst loben. Das Studio ist immer top gepflegt.

Negative Erfahrung: Ich bin aktuell nach meinem Ausscheiden bei Holmes Place dabei, mich von überhöhten finanziellen Restforderungen dieses Gyms für nicht genommene Personal Training Stunden zu befreien. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen, einen grossen Bogen um die Personal Training Verträge zu machen, wenn du noch nicht gelernt hast, Grenzen zu setzen. Sonst führt das zu (gewollten?) Abhängigkeiten, die viel Geld schlucken. Jetzt, wo ich den Club verlassen habe und auf eigene Kappe trainiere und meine Ernährung manage, erfahre ich die tiefgehende Transformation, die ich suchte, Was die Sauberkeit angeht: Hat inzwischen mal jemand die wirklich abstossend verschmutzte Auflage auf der Liege in der Damenumkleide entfernt? Evtl braucht es dafür 3000 CHF Jahresbeitrag…

Friendly and helpful staff all throughout the gym. Cool events that happen on a bi monthly basis and always cool to check out. Paulo and Maurice always here to give you a smile. I wish the green gorilla could open back, this was the top of the top since beyond the towel, you didn't have to think about bringing a shake either.
