Esperienza fantastica: A great yoga studio to practise in Basel. I particularly enjoy attending Kristen’s classes. She clarifies poses and brings a lightheartedness that keeps the class engaged and at ease. She has a way of pushing me to challenge myself while making me laugh through the struggle. Her cues are spot-on, her adjustments are insightful, and her passion for yoga is contagious. I leave her classes feeling stronger, more centred and uplifted. Highly recommend

Esperienza negativa: Sehr unfreundlich, als ich vorbeiging verstand man mich nicht und die Leiterin sprach nur englisch. Sehr angespannte Situation, weit weg vom realen Yoga-Kult!! Preisleistung ein grosses -Minus!!! (Hatte eine Bekannte da, als ich mich für eine Anmeldung informieren wollte war man sehr unfreundlich und an der Kommunikation hats immer gescheittert. Nur Englisch und typisch amerikanisch . . . .meine Bekannte und ich sind mittlerweile woanders und haben riesen Spass)

Esperienza fantastica: The looking glass ist eine echte Herzensempfehlung von mir Für 6 Monate habe ich in Basel gelebt und gearbeitet, und dabei diverse Yoga Studios ausprobiert. Letztendlich bin ich bei The looking glass hängen geblieben. Um nur ein paar Gründe zu nennen, weshalb es ein großartiges Yoga Studio ist: - die Herzlichkeit, Wärme und Leichtigkeit von Kristen (der Ownerin) - die genauen körperlichen Ansagen und gezielten Hands on Assists in den Open Kursen - die Embodiment Stunden durch die ich jedes Mal SO SEHR in meinem Körper angekommen bin - der Spaß in und außerhalb der Yogakurse (ich sag nur Eisbaden nach den Open Kursen bei 7 Grad) Danke Kristen und Team, dass ihr meinem Yogaherz in Basel ein zuhause gegeben habt ✨

Esperienza fantastica: Ich war lange auf der Suche nach einem passenden Yogastudio in Basel – und endlich wurde ich fündig! Hier ist jede Yoga-Lektion etwas ganz Einzigartiges. Die Lehrer*innen geben jeder Stunde ihre ganz persönliche Note, korrigieren einen und schliessen diese jeweils mit einem Dufterlebnis an ätherischen Ölen ab. Eine runde Sache! Die Community schaut aufeinander und ist aufmerksam (man stellt sich gegenseitig die Putzutensilien für die Yogamatte bereit nach der Lektion). Ich bin ganz berührt und kann es wärmstens empfehlen!

Esperienza fantastica: Grossartiges Yogastudio. Das Beste meiner Meinung nach in Basel. Der Unterricht ist stets professionell und liebevoll geführt. Man wird herzlich begrüsst und fühlt sich sehr wohl und willkommen.

Esperienza fantastica: The Looking Glass ist ein Ort der Selbstfindung auf ganz vielen Ebenen. Zuerst besticht die Location durch unglaublichen Charme und einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Rhein. Dann spürt man die Energie. Christen hat aus einem Zimmer einen Raum geschaffen, in welchem man sich geborgen und aufgehoben fühlt. Ihre tiefsten Kenntnisse über die physische und nicht physische Gestalt unseres Seins ist sehr beeindruckend. In ihren Yogakursen vermittelt sie ihr können auf eine so empathische Art und Weise, dass man angespornt wie ein Kind, mit Freude und Energie so viel lernen darf, ohne jeglichen Frust oder Stress. In meinem Kopf war da plötzlich der Gedanke: AHA, DAS ist yoga. Ich kann den Ort, Christen und das komplette Gefühl im The Looking Glass 100% empfehlen.

Esperienza fantastica: I’ve traveled a lot and been to many yoga studios around the world and The Looking Glass is by far my favorite. It’s a beautiful space overlooking the Rhine with the best teachers. The community of students is welcoming to all and everyone is made to feel so special. I cannot recommend this studio enough, if you’re in Basel… taking a class at The Looking Glass is a must… I promise, you will not regret it.

Esperienza fantastica: What are you looking for in a yoga studio? Amazing classes led by charismatic and highly-qualified teachers? A beautiful space to practice? A yoga community that offers you connection? The chance to move, sweat, breathe, ground, calm, energise? Simply a possibility to practice yoga in a great atmosphere and location? Whatever it is, the chances are really high to find it at The Looking Glass. So don’t hesitate and just try it out yourself! Even if you just come for a “yoga-class-workout”, know that you’ll most likely get more out of it than the practice of asana ❤️.

And as a supportive community you have there all the offerings that you need: different types of yoga, workshops and retreats, an amazing teacher training, well experience and passionate teachers… and most important, its people full of light and love! Glad to be able to be part of this community in its diverse and rich facets

Esperienza fantastica: A holistic yoga studio with a fantastic view of the river. I love the international workshops that they've put on over the years. My practice has deepened immensely since coming here regularly. I really appreciated the online support and the fact that they've kept the online access; so good if I'm not feeling well/up for crowds. The teachers are simply next level!!!

Esperienza fantastica: I love this studio! Such a beautiful and calm space. Amazing teachers! Make it a point to take a class from Kristen, the owner. She is so knowledgeable and yet personable at the same time. As a career yoga instructor myself of 20 years, I’d highly recommend this studio to anyone.

Esperienza fantastica: I discovered The Looking Glass Studio in 2019 and have become a regular visitor since. The teachers are so welcoming and supportive to yogis of all levels, the studio is beautiful and overlooking the Rhein River. The owner Kristen does a great job at making The Looking Glass Studio feel like a second home.

Esperienza fantastica: I went to a class at the Looking Glass while staying with a friend nearby and cannot say enough wonderful things. We attended the Yin Yang Fri lunch class, and it was idyllic! Especially for having flown long haul 48 hrs before, I can’t imagine a better physical practice to settle my mind and body in Europe. Kristen’s cues and assists made this experience one of my highlights of 3 days in town!

Esperienza fantastica: This studio is stunning. It overlooks the Rhine and is spacious, clean and inviting. The class I took was absolutely fantastic. I’ve gone to classes all over the world and this is one of the best. Kristin, the owner was a warm person and a fabulous instructor. Do not hesitate to attend some classes, you will not be disappointed.

I recommend this Studio to anyone looking for various Yoga styles, nice moments of collective meditation and chanting, warm atmosphere, wonderful view, and the best Yoga teachers in town. Just finished my Yoga Teacher Training here, an experience I would definitely recommend to everybody!

Esperienza fantastica: You can read a lot about what makes a good yoga teacher. They have to check in with their students, have to understand anatomy and physiology, have insight on spiritual praxis and so on. But what is the secret to come from good to great? For me the answer is how I feel during and after a class. I love it, when a teacher brings me to a new experience and when the praxis makes me feel so present during the class, that I don't think about anything else. And this happens not only due to great knowledge but by a teacher who is spreading out his own passion towards practicing and teaching. Thats why I love joining the classes with Kristen Watson Geering at The Looking Glass Basel. I learn new things in every single class with her, and I can adopt them to my own classes. Whenever I have questions about my own teaching she is a great mentor. I really want to recommend her classes to everyone who is interested in yoga. No matter if you're a student or teacher or if you've never done yoga before. This is for all levels!!!
