Expérience fantastique: Fantastic gym with a great atmosphere. the facilities are always clean and well maintained, and the equipment is modern and in excellent condition. The staff is friendly, professional and always happy to help, which makes a big difference. What I appreciate the most is the motivating environment. It’s welcoming for both beginners and experienced athletes. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a gym where you actually enjoy coming to work out.

Expérience négative: Wenn eine Geschäftsführerin kein Gewissen hat und genauso handelt wie die Leute, die für sie arbeiten, dann darf man sich über nichts mehr wundern. Obwohl sie genau wusste, was passiert ist,lch habe ungefähr 20 E-Mails geschrieben, und am Ende kam nur eine respektlose Antwort per Video. Ich habe mit Instagram angefangen. Ich habe dort ein Angebot gesehen. Ein klares Angebot. Es wurde gesagt, es gibt ein spezielles Angebot,Ich bin danach ins Fitness gegangen. Am Anfang sagte man mir, ich könne noch keinen normalen Vertrag machen, nur über einen bestimmten Mitarbeiter. Ich fand das schon damals sehr komisch, aber ich habe gewartet, weil ich dachte, vielleicht ist das hier einfach so organisiert. Nach etwa einer Woche machte mir dieser Mitarbeiter dann ein Angebot. Er sagte klar: 700 Franken, alles zusammen, pro Jahr. Ich habe zugestimmt. Ich habe Ja gesagt. Er sagte mir auch, ich müsse alles auf einmal bezahlen. Das Gerät zum Bezahlen sei kaputt, ich müsse mit QR-Code zahlen. Das Ganze war an der Rezeption. Er war nicht alleine. Es waren zwei bis drei weitere Personen direkt daneben. Das war nicht privat, das war mitten im Fitnessstudio. Ich habe alles bezahlt. Die ganzen 700 Franken. Auf einmal. Für mich war damit alles erledigt. Bezahlt. Fertig. Ich war danach fast selten dort. Insgesamt etwa 41 Mal. Das ist nicht einmal ein Monat Training. Und dann, Monate später, fingen plötzlich die Probleme an. Man sagte mir, ich hätte einen anderen Vertrag. Man sagte, meine Zahlung sei nicht gültig. Man sagte, ich müsse noch einmal zahlen. Gleichzeitig wurde ich immer wieder gesperrt. Einmal durfte ich trainieren, dann wieder nicht. Hin und her. Ohne klare Erklärung. Ohne Respekt. Dann kam der nächste Schock. Man sagte mir, dieser Mitarbeiter sei nicht ihr Mitarbeiter gewesen, alles sei privat gewesen, sie hätten damit nichts zu tun. Gleichzeitig wurde diesem Mitarbeiter gekündigt und er sollte angeblich rund 10.000 Franken zahlen. Und dann hiess es plötzlich, wir als Kunden sollen jetzt auch noch einmal alles zahlen. Obwohl ich schon bezahlt habe. Obwohl ich kaum dort war. Man sagt, das sei alles zwischen mir und dem Mitarbeiter gewesen. Das stimmt nicht. Es waren mehrere Leute anwesend. Es war an der Rezeption. Ich durfte nicht einmal zu jemand anderem gehen, um einen Vertrag zu machen, so wie man das normalerweise macht. Normalerweise kommt man rein, macht einen Vertrag und trainiert. Bei mir war das nicht so. Ich musste alles auf einmal bezahlen, wie verlangt, und ich habe das akzeptiert. Und danach wurde ich einfach im Stich gelassen. Dazu kommt etwas sehr Ernstes. Mein Vertrag wurde manipuliert. Meine Unterschrift wurde gefälscht. Daten aus meinem medizinischen Fragebogen wurden kopiert und in einen anderen Vertrag übernommen. Das ist kein Fehler und kein Missverständnis. Deshalb habe ich Anzeige bei der Polizei erstattet. Und ich bin nicht die Einzige. Es gibt mehrere betroffene Personen. Das hier ist kein Missverständnis, sondern ein ernstes Problem. Es zeigt ein System, in dem Verantwortung abgeschoben wird und am Ende immer die Kundinnen und Kunden zahlen sollen, egal was abgemacht wurde oder wie viel bereits bezahlt wurde. Für mich ist das wie wenn man einen Fernseher kauft, 1000 Franken bezahlt, und nach drei Monaten sagt jemand, man müsse noch einmal zahlen, wegen interner Probleme. So etwas akzeptiert niemand. Und genauso akzeptiere ich das hier nicht. Ich rate wirklich jedem: Passt extrem auf. Macht auf keinen Fall einen Vertrag, bevor ihr nicht einen Schnuppertag gemacht habt. Beim Gespräch ist alles nett, danach sieht es anders aus. Glaubt nicht nur Worten. Lasst euch alles schriftlich geben. Zahlt nicht alles im Voraus.

Expérience négative: I was very disappointed with my experience at Holmes Place Crowne Plaza Zurich. The toilets in the ladies’ changing room have almost transparent doors, offering virtually no privacy — which is completely unacceptable in a women’s changing area. Cleanliness is also a major issue, particularly in the changing rooms and shared facilities, which feel poorly maintained for a gym at this price point. While the personal trainers and reception staff are friendly and helpful, the overall management experience is very poor. The gym manager, Coleen, is unfriendly and unavailable when concerns are raised, and customer service and value for money clearly are not priorities. What makes this especially disappointing is that many reviews raise the same concerns about management, yet nothing appears to have changed. Given the high cost, this gym is significantly overpriced, and I would not recommend it.

Tried reaching out via email to multiple emails and via their contact forms - no answer so far. Also, never got a copy of the contract. Feels like a scam.

Trotz klarer Kommunikation meinerseits wurde mir ein 12-monatiger Vertrag angelastet, den ich nachweislich nie unterschrieben habe. Ein ehemaliger Mitarbeiter hatte mit mir ausdrücklich einen einmaligen Deal vereinbart, da ich nicht in der Schweiz lebe. Diese Vereinbarung kann zudem durch ein Mitglied des Clubs bezeugt werden. Trotz dieser eindeutigen Sachlage zeigt das Management keinerlei Bereitschaft, das Problem zu prüfen oder zu lösen. Stattdessen wurden weiterhin unberechtigte Abbuchungen vorgenommen, und ich musste mich wiederholt an den Club wenden, ohne dass es zu einer fairen Klärung kam. Ein professioneller Umgang sieht anders aus. Kundinnen und Kunden sollten ernst genommen und Vereinbarungen respektiert werden. Für mich steht fest: Solange das Management so mit berechtigten Anliegen umgeht, kann ich Holmes Place nicht weiterempfehlen.

Expérience fantastique: A very well equipped gym with amazing SPA features such as jacuzzi, pool, spa and steam bath room. The place is spacious, with enough machines for cardio, weights and stretching. They also have classes and personal trainers. The staff is extremely friendly and the access, locker system and showers are top notch. Highly recommended

Expérience positive: Overall, it's a very good-sized facility with everything you need in terms of space and weight training equipment. The pool and jacuzzi area, as well as the relaxation area with sauna, are a real bonus and I make good use of them. I think the reception, maintenance and cleaning staff, as well as the coaches, are great. No complaints there. The programme of activities on offer is also very good and the quality is always there. Finally, the opening hours are also a big plus. The negative aspects are as follows. Unfortunately, from around 8 p.m. onwards, cleaning and general maintenance seem to be neglected. The floor is no longer cleaned until closing time, or if it is cleaned again, it is not enough. The large tea container, if not empty, contains only a little cold tea. The little touches that are so pleasant at the start of the day, such as towels available in the rest area, water and cups, disappear after a certain time, which is a shame because they are a nice touch. We also feel that minor repairs are increasing in the changing rooms, toilets, etc., reflecting a certain lack of investment in more substantial work. The showers, where there is a foul smell, are often out of order and the workmanship is poor. It's a shame, because these little details make all the difference. I give it a 6.5/10.

Dirty, no high end gym what they claim to be, the only thing they are good at is increasing the membership fee. Update: The management reached out and they were accomodating. Great group classes!

Ich muss den Kommentaren hier recht geben, der Empfang ist schrecklich und extrem unprofessionell. Wie kann AMEX mit solch einem Kundenservice eine Kooperation mit solch einem Fitnesscenter eingehen. Abgesehen davon war es sehr schmutzig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier garnicht.

Expérience négative: The rudest, obnoxious girl working at the reception. We were 15m away from her and she screamed at us that our child wasn’t allowed. Which is completely fine. If that’s your rule. But it wasn’t communicate like that to us by the hotel. It was our understanding that there is a massive spa pool and that I can accompany my 20-month old child with a life jacket in the large pool for 20 minutes. The way this girl was acting, was like we have been there day after day trying to get in with our kid, when it was actually the first time, and completely innocently and unknowingly. As someone who has been in the fitness industry for 15 years, I highly recommend you teach that girl some basic customer service. She could’ve waited for us to reach the counter and spoken to us like human beings, and possibly could have also at least attempted to act like she was raised with basic manners. We are not below her and it is pathetic that she thinks she can treat anyone like that. Never mind guests. We were barely around the corner of the elevator when she started talking down at us in a shrill voice. I thought something was wrong. I even looked behind me to figure out what was going on. Because never in my life would I think someone would speak to a guest like that. I then told her that she can speak to me nicer after the second time of her having her little meltdown. And when I left she had the audacity to ask my husband why I was rude to her!? (A second major customer service fail - unprofessional). Does she have no introspection as to how she conducts herself and that when you are the face / front of desk of an establishment and you treat people like dirt unprovoked, that they will more often than not tell you to speak to them nicer? We have respect for rules. Like I said, I am in the industry. We don’t have respect for how your staff member thinks she can conduct herself and communicate them to us. I’ve noticed a few complaints about this on your page. You should really consider doing something about this. If she had treated anyone in my gym like this, I would fire her on the spot.

Expérience négative: Die Besitzer des Betriebs sind Schurken; sie wollen keine Arbeiter einstellen. Ich selbst habe mehrere Stunden Probearbeit geleistet und wurde dafür nicht bezahlt. Der Verantwortliche aus Peru sagte mir, sie suchten Männer, ließen aber auch Frauen zum Probearbeiten kommen; für sie war es unbezahlte Arbeit. Danach rufen sie einen nie wieder an, nicht einmal, um einem mitzuteilen, dass man nicht ausgewählt wurde, weder ich noch die zwölf anderen, die dort waren. Es ist eine Schande, und es sollte illegal sein, solche Leute auszunutzen, ihre Zeit und ihre Arbeit. The owners of the establishment are scoundrels; they don't want to hire workers. I myself was doing several hours of work that were meant to be a trial, and I wasn't paid. The guy from Peru who was in charge told me they were looking to hire men, but they also allowed women to come for trial runs; it was free work for them. Afterwards, they never call you back, not even to tell you that you weren't selected, not me, nor the 12 other people who were there. It's a disgrace, and it should be illegal to take advantage of people like that, of their time and their work.

Expérience négative: Seit Januar 2024 erhalte ich regelmässig SMS und Werbeanrufe vom Holmes Palace, obwohl ich jedes Mal deutlich sage, dass ich kein Interesse habe und keine weiteren Kontakte wünsche (auch nicht per SMS). Trotzdem hört es immer noch nicht auf. Als ich nachfragte, warum mein Wunsch nicht im System vermerkt wird, riet mir eine Mitarbeiterin tatsächlich, hier eine 1-Stern-Bewertung abzugeben, damit meine Nummer im System gelöscht werden kann. Mal schauen, ob sich in Zukunft etwas ändern wird.

Expérience négative: The gym is fairly clean and has a nice vibe at first glance. But unfortunately, the customer service noticeably declines once you’ve signed the contract. The sales staff are super friendly during the sign-up process – but after that, most of the front desk team seem disinterested and unhelpful. Basic issues are often met with a shrug or “we don’t know.” It feels less about supporting members and more about upselling and locking people into contracts. The gym itself is quite small and not exactly up to date. For the price, there are definitely better and more modern options out there – with better service, too. This doesn’t feel like a one-off, either – it seems to be a recurring issue across Holmes Place locations. A great first impression that doesn’t hold up.

Expérience positive: Overall, I would give this location 3-3.5 stars Reception staff is very friendly and helpful, always smiling and in a good mood. Eyad’s spinning class really stands out, his amazing music, energy and ability to push all participants is second to none. Unfortunately the spin bikes are really old and not running smoothly, there is also no air conditioning in the room, making it hard to breathe and not very comfortable . Would expect a bit more from a gym branded as Premium.

Expérience négative: The gym is nice and fairly clean. But once you sign the contract I am sad to say the quality of customer service quickly goes down hill. The staff in the desk are not helpful in resolving issues, they just tell you they don’t know how to resolve basic issues. They will still happily take your money though. Everything is geared towards upselling and getting more money out of you.

Expérience négative: meine Uhr wurde aus dem Kästlit gestohlen, das nur ich oder Mitarbeiter öffnen können. Tortzdem lassen sie mich nicht aus dem Vertrag raus und die Uhr kam auch nicht mehr zum vorschein. Sehr schlechte Mitarbeiter die klauen und inkompetent sind.

Expérience négative: The rooms are small but clean, we traveled with 3 kids and 2 adults, got two rooms, first they couldn’t get us connecting rooms, one room the bathroom door didn’t close and same room the main door won’t close unless an adults pulls it really hard. Secondly, they won’t let kids below 16 get in the amazing pool they have. This place would have been fine if I were traveling alone or with my wife, but not worth the price with kids that looked forward to the pool. Also the taking the a lot of luggage, they don’t help you with it, they provided a broken trolly and the elevator are so tight it barely make it in with one person, again if your alone with light luggage, it’s no issue but with big family, it’s very difficult!

Expérience négative: Auf Garkeinen Fall zu empfehlen! Die Mitarbeiter sprechen zu 90% kein Deutsch sind unzuverlässig frech und greifen die Kunden an! Provokant und ohne Anstand! Ich wurde Wochenlang gemobbt von den Mitarbeitern. Die Mitarbeiter genauso wie die Chefin haben sich dann zusammen getan und aufgrund einer Lüge den Vertrag gekündigt ich unterstütze keine Lügenvereine! Holmes Place Crowne Plaza null Sterne! Aufgrund von Lügen und Unprofessionalität! Ich hoffe ich konnte zukünftige Mitglieder davor warnen!

Expérience positive: An sich bin ich schon zufrieden mit allem. Nur eins stört, dass die Herrendampfsauna öfters defekt ist. Wie jetzt auch. Kann passieren, nur sollte die Reparatur zeitnah erfolgen. Wir warten seit über 4 Wochen darauf.

Expérience positive: Great , but small, gym in the middle of Zürich. Holmes Place is known for its upscale gym chain, and this particular one has a different vibe because it’s part of a hotel. It has a much smaller clientele basis than a usual gym (which I personally LOVe), but the evenings will be swamped like any normal gym. The gym has a great selection of typical cardio machines, momentum based cardio machines, weights, kettlebells, and the newest in Technogym machines (as of Spring 24). There is a wellness area with a pool (more for aqua fit than laps from the size, but laps are possible), jacuzzi, and saunas with the wonderful addition of towel service. The gym staff is very friendly and helpful. For a gym that markets itself as high end, The facilities themselves leave a bit to be desired: the bathrooms need to be renovated because things are often broken and make sure you bring flip flops for the wellness area! It’s unsafe when wet. Overall a solid gym, right in the heart of the city with a great selection of materials to train with.

Expérience fantastique: Fantastic indoor cycling class with great instructor! This was my first sunday spinning class experience and I was hooked immediately. Eyad is a brilliant instructor, very inspirational and great motivator. Eyad kept the session fresh by varying the music and routine! - can‘t wait to return! - places are limited and fast taken

Expérience positive: I generally like coming here. Especially the staff is doing a great job and are very friendly and attentive. Improvement points: -One leg press is not enough, sometimes one has to wait quite long -The steam bath often has issues or is not working at all. Also, sometimes they turn it off before 09:45 -Sauna is sometimes a bit too small

Expérience fantastique: Super Fitnessstudio! Man wird immer herzlich empfangen und super beraten. Die Gruppenkurse machen viel Spaß und hinterlassen guten Muskelkater;)

Expérience fantastique: I started training at this gym about a year ago. While the machines are the standard ones that you find in any gym, the trainers are absolutely amazing. I had an incredible experience with Sara as my personal trainer, she helped me not only gain confidence in my strength, but also solve some long lasting issues with my joints. She did a better job in supporting me than my physiotherapist for my back and knee pain. The classes that are offered are also great, all the teachers pay very close attention to you and help you fix your form and the difficulty of the exercise in order for you to complete them safely.

Expérience fantastique: Ho avuto l 'opportunità di fare una prova gratuita siccome sono interessato ad intraprendere un percorso di allenamento personalizzato. Ho potuto apprezzare la grande professionalità di tutto il team, sopratutto di Sara con la quale ho fatto la Welcome Session. La struttura é dotata di tutte le attrezzature di ultima generazione ed è molto ben tenuta. Sicuramente mi iscriverò approfittando della nuova promo di questo mese di Ottobre. Ringrazio tutto il team per la loro gentilezza e disponibilità.

Expérience fantastique: I had the opportunity to stay in the hotel during my latest holidays. I really appreciate the gym that is complete with the latest equipment. I really appreciate the wellness area inclusive with massage service. I would like to thanks Sara for the most relaxing massage ever!

Expérience positive: Ok if you are taking advantage of this gym while staying at the hotel, but I wouldn’t subscribe there . Some machines/dumbbells etc rusted and not very well maintained (example: cable machine not working). It’s very clean though. Convenient pool, sauna and hammam. Crowd is a mixed of respectful people and other not following the rules. Sorry to say that but the staff was not very helpful nor friendly.
