I needed to find intense stress relief - an escape from the pressures. I received more here than I expected. If you're considering starting BJJ, I can only recommend it. The background and the club itself give me an authentic, non-commercial impression. Don't expect comfort and luxury, but anticipate a personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and intense experiences and passion for BJJ. For a great price, you get the opportunity to train more times per week than you can handle initially. The reservation system and team chat work excellently. People from Para Bellum do things with enthusiasm and wholeheartedly, but be prepared for the pressure to be an active member who doesn't skip training sessions and has the desire to improve. Expérience négative: Noch nie so ein unfreundliches Gym gesehen war 3x dort, 2x wurde ich nachhause geschickt weil ich 10min zu spät gekommen bin obwohl ich das voraus gesagt hatte, dazu schlechte Trainer die nicht schauen ob die Schüler es falsch oder richtig machen. Ich empfehle es niemandem.

Expérience fantastique: This is a no frills competition gym in Zurich. The benefits are many. No frills and no cost. They have showers if you need it. The Professor and the brown belt teaching the class are very technical. Techniques are excellent. Practiced guard passing, triangle leg choke from side control. A purple belt helped me to practice side control escape. Don’t expect an easy roll, but you will learn what it takes to be a competitor on the mat and in real life. Very friendly and concern for your well-being. Recommend for anyone on a budget and for superior training. This is the place!
