Expérience fantastique: I've been looking for Iyengar yoga studio and did the trial classes at all 3 available studios in Zurich over the last 2 weeks. Having visited the Iyengar Yoga Center today, even though the location is very simple, I can definitely tell that some great diamonds are inside. It has been the best class I've visited in Zurich. One immediately sees that Maya is a very experienced, professional, knowledgeable yoga teacher, she corrects all the students in their asanas, takes the time to properly explain how one should position every single part of the body for the best effects. She is paying great attention to both physiological and energy side of yoga practice. After the class I truly feel that my body is "alive" and the energy is moving. I feel light and easy, the blocks are gone. I found it very helpful that Maya is switching between English, Hochdeutsch and Schweizerdeutsch very seamlessly, so for someone like me who is not entirely fluent in German or Swiss German it was a perfect combination. Last but not least, one can truly feel the beautiful energy of Maya as a human being and her love for what she does. I'm very grateful to have discovered Iyengar Yoga Center and would recommend it to everyone who wants to practice yoga as it should be practiced to feel all the benefits in their entirety.
